Dick's Ditch Races

Sorry for not posting lately, I've had the flu. Strike that I have the flu. Enough about that, last weekend I went out to the Village to shoot the Dick's Ditch Banked Slalom Races. I was trying to get there in time to shoot a friend of ours, Kate the Great. She won the women's division. Congrats Kate, sorry I didn't make it in time to get any pictures! Anyway it was still pretty exciting to watch. Here are some of the pictures...
These little guys below ripped! They were hitting all the same jumps as the adults. Not just adults but Pros! Sorry I don't have the names of any of the competitors, but they all have balls just for being out there!

These kids were hitting a twenty foot gap and landing it like a pro! I was floored!

New Ski Pictures...

These are some shots of Katrina and Jason skiing. He is a rippin good skier and he got a full, exhausting view of what skiing in Wyoming is all about! These shots were taken off of Teton Pass. (Oh yeah, I screwed up and cut off Katrina's legs in the shots of her jumping. Thats right I'm still learning what to do...)

Maliskis on the loose!

Sorry its been a while since I last posted. We have been hanging out with Katrina's brother, Jason, for the last week. Its been super busy! Seeing Katrina around her brother was so hilarious! They are so freakin silly with each other. You couldn't help but to crack up with laughter A LOT! We ended up with over 400 pictures of his trip and almost every one of them has some sort of silliness in it. Here are a few...

Kelly by moonlight

So I couldn't sleep last night (probably because Katrina wasn't there). So I got up and took a couple of pictures around the house in the snow. It was a georgous night with the moon shining brightly.

This is a deer/elk/moose trail lit by the moonlight.

Missin My Baby!

So Katrina is gone to a training in Laramie until Wednesday. She left yesterday morning and I am already missing her a whole freakin lot! She is my ROCK. She keeps me cool when I would otherwise spin out of control. I do not deserve such a woman and I count my lucky stars everyday she is around! To add to that, her incredible beauty, and I know I'm the luckiest guy in the world!! Here are just a few pics that show her incredible personality and beauty...You have no idea how happy Murphy is with her Momma. They are a pair like no other. I thought Murph would never love another as much as she loves me. HA! That was before Katrina got her hands on my dog. The last four years they have gotten closer and closer. Now I find myself trying to bribe Murphy to hang out with me. How can I blame her, look how much fun they have together!

This is a lot of pictures but that's what happens when you miss your baby, you get all sentimental and stuff...

Chiver's Cornice Craziness!

Today was the perfect day to take the camera out into the backcountry for the first time. We had blue skies in every direction and a great crew who were ready to jump off stuff. These guys were on top of Chiver's Ridge, in the wind, jumping 15 to 25 feet off a cornice, just so I could take some cool photos, and that, is really cool in my book. Thanks to Seamus & Amon McKinney, Matt Donovan, Niel Albert and Nick from Maine for bieng patient and goin as big as possible!

This was the first jump of the shoot, and holy crap did Seamus go far! This was also the BIGGEST jump of the day...
Above-This was his landing. WAAAYYY down the hill! Below- Nick from the great state of Maine. . .

Above- Amon Below - Niel

Below- Matt surprises a couple of hikers...

The following series is of Seamus doing a "Twistie-Flippy -Thingy". He nailed it if its supposed to look like the name implies. You'll see...

He did land this! I just missed the shot. Still pretty freakin cool huh???
